Here’s an outtake from my session with Red Hot Annie:

Cineform NeoScene Follow-up
This is a follow-up post to: Adobe Premiere Pro vs. Canon 5D Mark II
After dragging my feet for a few weeks I finally took the plunge on purchasing Cineform’s NeoScene for Mac OS X. I was hoping to find an alternate solution but further research didn’t reveal any new hope.
I also learned that NeoScene has a batch conversion utility, but my testing of the utility introduced some color-shifting problems in the footage, so my original workflow still stands (short version: use Quicktime to export the footage using the Cineform HD codec).
Cineform’s web site has NeoScene priced at $129. I found the same purchase available through Videoguys.com for only $99. As an added bonus I received a $10 coupon when I registered with Videoguys.com, which brought my grand total down to $89.
I must commend Cineform’s outstanding customer support. I was having some problems getting the license code to activate my software and Jake at Cineform had me up and running after some quick e-mail exchanges.
Now that I have the proper conversion utility I can get back to work on editing video for All That Glitters!

I took a new lens out to Vaudezilla’s show at Blue Bayou last week. Here are some of the results. Click on the thumbnails below to view the photos as a slideshow (a feature which only works if you’re looking at this entry on my site, not through an RSS feed).

Pinup model and burlesque mogul Red Hot Annie recently hired me to create some casual headshots that she could use to accompany press appearances such as articles and interviews. Here is one shot from the session:
