Brian C. Janes, aka BCJ, is a professional photographer from Chicago, Illinois, and based in Los Angeles, California. He has dedicated his photography to the study of people since 2002, specializing in helping women look and feel beautiful in front of the camera.
Photographing live performance events since 2005, he has served as the official photographer for burlesque productions throughout Chicago, including Varietease Cabaret, Belmont Burlesque and Lavender Cabaret, and has completed workshops with renowned glamour photographers Rolando Gomez, Mark Daughn and Moses Marquez.
He is currently traveling throughout the U.S. photographing "All That Glitters: Portraits of Burlesque Performers In Their Homes," a project that will culminate in a book, documentary and gallery exhibitions.
